How do you Keep a Beautiful Beard

Beard Care

You may have suspected, it's an oil that you apply to your beard to regulate its hydration naturally. Regular washing not only keeps the dirt out but also helps remove some of your natural oils. This is why beard maintenance is a leave-in conditioning product created to help balance the natural oils that are in your beard and your skin.

We do not use silicones, sulfates or parabens in our oils, to give you the best possible results for your beard. Silicones aren't inherently bad, but they cover your hair and prevent them from getting the nutrients they need, plus they require more effort and chemical to remove. They also mask the appearance of hair that has been conditioned by separating ends and dry hair.

HOW to apply BEARD OIL

Beard Care

Beard Oil should be applied every day, just after you exit the shower. It may seem odd to apply oil right after you've spent time in water, however, it's actually quite effective! Warm showers will make your pores more open, allowing the oil to absorb more effectively. Make sure you pat your beard down using a towel prior to applying the oil, since it's best to use damp beards, not soaked ones.

For Beard Oil to be most efficient, you need to focus on working it into the skin beneath the beard, instead of applying it to the ends of the hair.

Based on the size of your beard you may need to use several drops more for major coverage. Huge beards may need 7 or 8 drops, while smaller ones could require just three or four. While the container of 1 oz might seem tiny it's actually only just a couple of drops per every day. It will last for months.

UTILITY BALM

The world of beard care is evolving rapidly. New products are that are introduced each day, such as beard balm (also known as beard cream, beard butter, or beard wax). It's still relatively new, and many people might not know the concept behind it. Balms can serve two functions that are conditioning and styling. Let's first look at our Conditioning Balm.

Our Utility Balm is also a leave-in conditioner, similar to beard maintenance. Both are the same product, so it's not necessary to use them both. Check out our blog about the differences between Beard Oil and Beard Balm to see which one is the best choice for you. The balm is going to weigh a little more than a Beard Oil, but will give a more lasting conditioning effect because due to its thicker texture. It should be applied once daily, just like you would oil. Applying moisturizing treatments right after showering is the ideal time to apply it since your skin and hair are more open to nutrients. If you're having plans for a special night then you should apply a small amount prior to your outing.

HOW to use UTIITY BALM

A nickel of balm is enough for most beardsmen. It is always possible to begin with less, since the amount you use can go a long ways. If you're not sure then make use of less. Balms for utility Balm is made of natural components that melt at various temperatures, and then hardens. Sometimes the texture may appear rough. But don't worry, it's normal!

To emulsify the oil, rub it between your fingers. After that, you'll need to work it into your beard and onto your skin. It will not be completely removed from your hands and you can use some of the product on your hair, or on any dry areas of your skin. Utility Balm isn't just to keep your beard looking great, its deep conditioning properties can also be applied to your skin and fully-healed tattoos.
